*We will publish your book when it is completed, copy edited and properly formatted. You can do this yourself or you can hire our staff to prepare the book. To get an idea of related additional expenses, see our editing pages or contact us for specific pricing for your book.

*We publish within 45 days of the Publishing Agreement. You receive your books within 60 days of our printer's receipt of your finished [and properly prepared] manuscript.

*Keep in mind that it is "normal" for a book to take up to a year to publish from the time we receive the manuscript. There are situations in which the book may publish under a year, BUT do not make vile accusations toward us if production runs a full year. We are a small house, privately owned; we do not have corporate funding to hire an army of assistants. We offer high quality and a lower than normal price because we do not have corporate overhead and we handle most of the work ourselves [rather than ship it out/overseas]. If these facts are a problem for you, please look elsewhere to make ungodly demands. We offer a top product and our high quality is what keeps us in business and in favor with our clients.

*All books require a written contract. The agreement is not complete until we have received your signature on your contract. Our staff makes no verbal promises for delivery or any other detail of the book contract terms.

• Perfect bound soft cover books are our preferred format. Our standard book is trade size 6" X 9" and our best pricing is for books under 350 pages. Our books are published in full four color print with laminate covers unless you specify otherwise.

• Most genres and most business projects are acceptable for submission. Your subject must not conflict with Christian principles; otherwise, you are likely within our guidelines. If you have questions about your genre or project, give us a call to discuss.

• Drafts should be submitted in MS Word.rtf [pc], saved on CD. ALL DOCS MUST BE SUBMITTED IN A WORD.RTF FILE. Our writers and editors utilize a number of computer systems to prepare your material for publishing. The RTF [rich text file] is the ONLY Word file that will work on all systems. [Please do NOT send us a DOCX file.]

• A publishing contract is required for all books. We go to press within 45 days of the publishing contract, and we deliver your books within 60 days of the final draft that goes to press.
  

• Format should be: 1 inch margins; 11 point Times Roman font; left-justify; double-spaced text; single-spaced titles and headings; no bolds or underlines. This format helps speed up the process of preparing your book for publishing and it helps to reduce your costs.
  

• Do not insert section or page breaks into the text.

• Drafts and other materials the writer submits are not returned to the writer.

• Edits, suggestions and changes are sent back to writer and must be reconciled with our editors for final submission within 30 days of the writer receiving them from us.

• There are no promises and no contracts between Shulamite Publishng House and the author until and if a Publisher's Contract is drawn between the parties.

• Final copyedit of your book is the discretion of the publisher; we prepare your book to have a professional and finished appearance.
  

• All decisions concerning your manuscript and its submission, publishing and print schedules are based on the business agreements and deadline needs of Shulamite Publishing House.
