Shulamite Publishing House offers editing, writing, ghostwriting and copywriting services along with book preparation and academic tutoring and evaluations. We offer several packages priced for businesses and independent authors [see tabs]. We work to accommodate your needs and we offer confidentiality clauses when requested to protect your interests.
The standard manuals used by Shulamite Publishing House editors and writers are: The Chicago Manual of Style [15th edition]; and The Elements of Style [4th edition].
Proofreading
Proof typescripts often contain typographical errors introduced by mistyping (hence the word typo to refer to misplaced, missing or incorrect characters). Traditionally, a proofreader checks the typeset copy and marks any errors using standard proof correction marks. We prefer to proof via Word and the system’s markup options.
Standard Rate: $4.00 per 400 word page
Proofreading for scripts w/no spell/grammar check: $10.00 per page
Line Editing
This package is NOT designed for writers with full-sized book manuscripts. Rather it is designed to help small businesses meet editing needs on any variety of projects, and for authors who write e-books [under 30,000 words.] This editing package does not include context smoothing and other features needed for traditional book editing. Great package for small business needs. Our turn around time on projects submitted to this package is normally one week or less.
Standard Rate: $40.00 per 1,000 words
Hard Editing Rate: $50.00 per 1,000 words
Book Editing
A full edit of your manuscript of up to 60,000 words submitted to us in a rich text file. Also includes: structure smoothing, check for logical flow and voice, tense matching, noun-verb agreement and grammar. Package includes your fully edited book in both Word and PDF files. Our contract includes a non-disclosure clause for your benefit. Estimated turn around time is 2-4 weeks assuming no major re-writes are needed.
Standard Rate: $40.00 per 1,000 words
Hard Editing Rate: $65.00 per 1,000 words
Ghost Writing & Academic Writing
One of our staff writers or editors will write your book, project, course material, business manual, technical manual or any other material you need for your daily business needs. This writing includes taking it from your concept, developing it into a full work, appropriate research if required [though technical research will include a higher rate], correct referencing, footnotes, bibliography, test questions if applicable, etc. We fully develop and ghostwrite your material, assigning copyrights to the client and signing non-disclosures if required.
Standard Rate: $0.25 per word
Re-write Rate: $0.50 per word
